It all started in 2003 when Dave and Michelle Sodano moved to South Carolina with a dream—to open their own plumbing company. As a master plumber from Boston, Dave brought years of expertise and a commitment to excellence, officially launching DS Plumbing.
Over time, our community recognized the outstanding service, respect, honesty, and integrity that defined the DS Plumbing team. As the company grew, Dave connected with Gerry Voorhees, a business consultant whose leadership strategies helped shape the future of the company.
In 2012, their shared values and vision led to a formal partnership, and the company rebranded as Dependable Service to reflect its commitment to providing reliable and trustworthy service. During this transformation, we also expanded our offerings by adding our HVAC division.
In 2022, Dave felt called to further his work in Ministry and transitioned from ownership to become our Training Manager. In this role, he pours his years of knowledge into our accredited apprenticeship program, helping aspiring technicians grow in both skill and character. Today, Gerry leads the company, focusing on the growth and development of our team so we can better serve our clients, community, and each other every day.
